Gigaopto’s CSFP transceiver is compliant with the compact Small Form-Factor Pluggable (CSFP) MSA option 2 for 10GBASE-LR/ER and Fiber Channel, allowing two independent bidirectional channels per port. Each channel supports 10Gbps throughput and max links up to 40km over single-mode fiber with an LC interface. It is with the SFP 20-pin connector to allow hot plug capability. No damage to CSFP+ and host board if CSFP+ module is plugged into a conventional SFP socket. Digital diagnostic functions are available via an I2C interface as specified in the MSA SFF-8472.
