Gigaopto SGMII SFP transceiver is an industry-standard small form-factor pluggable module for 100BASE-FX applications. The SGMII SFP transceiver consists of SFP part, the PHY part with both interfaced by SGMII. The SGMII SFP will auto-negotiate a 1000Mbp/S port to 100Mbp/s. In order to carry data link information between a 100/1000 PHY and an Ethernet MAC, SGMII uses a differential pair for data signals and for clocking signals.
